Counselling services
The goal of individual counselling is to improve one's work life, social life and family life. We can help with a range of issues, including: abuse, anxiety, career problems, depression, gender identity, post-traumatic stress, life transitions and oppression.
We offer:
Addiction counselling: Our addiction specialists help our clients explore issues surrounding substance abuse and find solutions to move forward.
Couples counselling: Counselling assists couples to sort through problems in a more positive way, while increasing appreciation and contentment in the relationship.
Co-occurring counselling: This type of therapy helps people who are living with both a mental health disorder and substance abuse issues. We provide emotional support to the individual and their families as we work together towards treatment for both conditions.
Faith-based counselling: This counselling addresses an individual's mental, emotional and spiritual well-being and growth.
Family counselling: Therapy helps family members appreciate the unique experiences and perspectives of each family member in a validating and non-threatening environment.
Individual counselling: Our therapists guide clients through any personal challenges, so they can achieve greater awareness and positive change in their lives.
LGBTQ counselling: This type of counselling provides a safe, confidential environment for individuals, families, children or teens to explore their feelings.
Nutrition counselling: Our registered dietician helps clients develop a nutrition plan to promote physical and mental health.
Your counselling sessions
Before your first session, you will be asked to complete an intake form with contact information, a brief history and the reason you’re seeking counselling. Each counselling session is approximately 50 minutes.
The total length of treatment could last a few weeks or run the course of several months. This depends on the needs of each client. Your therapist will work with you until you find fulfilling life solutions.
